Celebrating a Year of Momentum, Milestones, and Meaningful Connections

As we wrap up 2025, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has been one of the most energizing and impactful years in ApprenticeSearch.com’s 26-year journey.

This year wasn’t just about numbers — it was about people. It was about the job seekers who took their next step with confidence, the employers who opened their doors to new talent, and the communities who championed the skilled trades as a vibrant and rewarding career path.

Stories That Shaped Our Year

Across the province, we met people whose determination reminded us why we do this work.

Lindsey found her footing with our support and resources and landed her next opportunity with renewed confidence. Benjamin discovered a clear pathway into the trades with the help of his job coach. Karlson described our support as “absolutely life-changing.” Dan finally felt ready to step into a skilled trades career after years of uncertainty. Alex found his place in the trades; you can read Alex’s success story, written in his own words: Too Young To Retire, Too Old To Hire.

Each story reinforced the idea that when people are supported, encouraged, and connected to the right opportunities, remarkable things can happen.

A Year of Growth and Innovation

Behind these personal successes was a year filled with momentum:

  • Our Job Coaches delivered thousands of personalized coaching sessions, helping individuals strengthen their resumes, sharpen their interview skills, and feel prepared for the next steps in their skilled trades career journey.
  • We expanded our reach through the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and local Ontario Chambers of Commerce, Skills Canada, Skills Ontario, Skilled Trades Ontario - including all Level Up! events, community workshops, employer panels, and hands-on experiences, including our annual ApprenticeSearch.com Open House in August, an interactive day of learning, networking, VR exploration, and industry insight.
  • Our presence grew at key events, from mining and manufacturing conferences to other skilled trades forums, where we continued to champion the importance of employer-education collaboration.
  • Through projects, such as the Skilled Trades Regional Networks, and our ongoing collaboration with school boards, community agencies, and skilled trades employers, we strengthened connections that help job seekers access meaningful pathways into the trades.
  • The Skilled Trades Regional Networks, a project in collaboration with Skills Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Education, expanded from 9 to 12 networks, involving more engaged employers who joined the networks and donated surplus tools to the Tools for School program, as well as technical education and experiential learning educators.

Building a Brighter Future, Together

This year reminded us that progress happens when communities come together — when employers invest in new talent, when educators inspire curiosity, when coaches provide steady guidance, and when job seekers have the confidence to take the leap.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who played a role in this year’s success: our employers, educators, community partners, supporters, and, of course, every job seeker who allowed us to be part of their journey.

In 2026, we are looking forward to continuing our work to help people find their place — and their future — in the skilled trades.
