Norris in Motion

Tim Norris adjusts the tires on the apprenticesearch.com racecar. Mechanical adjustments like this are vital to a good performance out on the track.

Tim Norris is having his best season ever.

That may not seem like much, given that this is only Tim's second year as a driver in the Ontario Pro Challenge Series, but Tim's performance this year has surpassed even the wildest expectations.

"The car is running so well," he says, pointing to races in Peterborough where lap times were better than ever. "I'm so happy with how things are going."

Tim and his crew have finished within the top five consistently, nearly every time out on the track. In the feature races -- the most important ones when it comes to points -- Tim and his team had, as of the beginning of August, never finished outside of the top three.

At press time, Tim was in second place, embroiled in a tense battle for first place.

"We're having a blast," he says, "win or lose. I'm just happy the car's running as well as it is."

To give you an idea of the speeds Tim reaches out on the track, apprenticesearch.com is proud to offer these video clips from the July 1st race at Flamboro. Users with dial-up connections should be advised that these are large files and they make time some time to download.

  • Video 1 - Tim takes off from the pit, making his way to the starting line for the afternoon race.
  • Video 2 - Watch as Tim and the other cars in the Ontario Pro Challenge Series round the curve, doing speeds close to 100 miles per hour.
  • Video 3 - Tim, his crew, family and friends gather with the checkered flag after taking first place in the feature race.

Special thanks to Marilyn and Terry Fish for these video clips and pictures. For more on Tim, the Ontario Pro Challenge Series, and how you can put yourself in the stands for one of these great races, visit the Ontario Pro Challenge Series' website.
