Interested in becoming a hairstylist? The Oakville College, School of Hair Design 1500 hour hairstyling program may be for you.

Oakville College takes new students each month, for their full-time program which consists of ten-months. The school also takes in new students each month for their part-time program that is twenty months in length. Oakville College develops an individualized program based on full classroom participation in both theory and practical applications in the hairstyling curriculum. 

All students get to participate in their in-school hair salon, where students obtain hands-on practical experience on live models (customers). This course also integrates basic computer experience in the salon management/business component of the program, whereby students develop their own résumé, covering letters, business cards and brochures. Students are part of a class that starts the program together, and develops skills together as a group, but each student's program is designed to meet his/her own unique needs.
