- To enhance the process of partnership between business and education and to act as a catalyst for innovative solutions to shared issues
- To help youth make the transition from school to career by designing and implementing career education programs and promoting experiential learning opportunities
- To provide access to a dynamic Career Centre that features resources that support youth throughout their lifelong career planning process

About Us

Established November 17, 1989, as a not for profit organization, the Halton Industry Education Council (HIEC) is a joint venture between industry, education and community partners in the Halton Region. Our goal is simple: to enhance career education and create the best opportunities for youth.



Expanding our Horizons through Partnership in Business and Education
As our society changes, the need for a skilled and educated workforce is increasing at a rapid rate. HIEC works to forge new bridges between the community and Halton's industrial, educational, and business sectors for their mutual benefit.



An Informed Choice is the Best Choice
HIEC is provincially recognized for its wide-reaching, informative career education programs, Career Resource Centre, and our overall commitment to helping young people make successful transitions from school to career.
